1. Ling Gui Zhu Gan Tang: It has the effect of warming Yang and resolving phlegm-drinking (warming the Yang qi in the body to promote the metabolism of water and fluid), strengthening the spleen and inducing dampness. It is mainly used to treat phlegm-drinking (pathological products formed as a result of impaired water-liquid metabolism) in the case of deficiency of yang in the central part of the body. 2. Real Spleen Bulk: It has the effect of warming yang, strengthening the spleen, promoting qi and inducing diuresis. It is used for treating yin water which is caused by yang deficiency of the spleen and kidney and the internal suspension of water qi. Symptoms include swelling below half of the body, no warmth in the hands and feet, no thirst in the mouth, fullness in the chest and abdomen, loose stools, and white and greasy tongue coating. If it belongs to Yang water, this formula is not suitable.
