Hands and feet are too hot, if the back of the hands and feet is too hot often because of external fever, such as typhoid fever (feeling cold caused by fever), warm disease, etc.; if the hands and feet of the heart of the fever is mostly due to yin deficiency fever or blood deficiency fever. When the temperature of the back of the hands and feet is higher than the heart of the hands and feet, it is often due to fever caused by exogenous diseases, which should also be accompanied by other symptoms such as fever in the forehead or chills (fear of cold). Heat in the heart of the hands and feet, which is often referred to in Chinese medicine as “five heart flashes”, is due to deficiency of yin, resulting in deficiency heat, accompanied by irritability, dry mouth and throat, night sweats (sweating abnormally after going to sleep, and waking up to stop sweating) and other symptoms. Heat in the hearts of the hands and feet can also occur as a result of blood deficiency fever after hemorrhage, or as a concomitant symptom of spleen deficiency or chancre. If abnormal fever of the hands and feet occurs, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time and be treated under the guidance of a professional doctor’s diagnosis.
