What causes your eyes to keep popping?

The problem of eyes always jumping is caused by physiological factors on the one hand; on the other hand, it is considered that it may be caused by pathological factors, such as facial muscle spasm, sequelae of facial neuritis, eye diseases and so on. 1. Physiological reasons: the patient’s eyes jump for a short period of time, generally may be related to mental stress, nervousness, or the patient encountered an emergency, emotional excitement, or more tired during the day and other reasons. 2. Pathologic factors: (1) Facial muscle spasm: Usually, the patient can have eye twitching when he is emotionally excited, and it disappears when he is quiet, or when he is sleeping. It is necessary to perform head angiography to observe whether there is localized compression of the facial nerve by blood vessels in the pontine cerebellar angle. If there is compression of the facial nerve, it may cause the eye muscles to throb. Sequelae of facial neuritis: Some patients have sequelae after the treatment of facial neuritis, and the muscles at the corner of the eyes or mouth appear to jump involuntarily. (3) Eye diseases: If there is a combination of diseases in the eye, such as inverted eyelashes, blepharitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis, etc., the above diseases can act on the nerve endings, which can also lead to eye throbbing. If your eyes are always throbbing and the symptoms cannot be relieved by resting, it is recommended to consult a doctor as soon as possible to clarify the cause of the throbbing, and then follow the doctor’s instructions.
