Strong light spots in the uterine cavity after delivery are not serious, as they may be caused by small amounts of residual tissue calcification. After delivery, the woman will have a discharge, and in the bloody discharge there will be meconium tissue and blood. If a woman had endometrial inflammation before pregnancy, etc., she may have retained meconium tissue after delivery. If there is a lot of residual tissue, it may cause the bloody discharge to last for a long time after delivery, or to bleed again after it has cleared, in which case it may be necessary to have the uterus cleared. If there is only a small amount of retained meconium, there may be no obvious discomfort after delivery, and the retained meconium is not easily detected. If the meconium remains in the uterine cavity for a long time, calcification may occur. When calcification occurs, ultrasound examination will reveal a strong light spot in the uterine cavity.
