How to treat very severe mixed ventilation dysfunction

Extremely severe mixed ventilation dysfunction usually results in narrowed or poorly open airways, and can also cause conditions where the lungs do not receive enough oxygen as well as difficulty breathing. It can be treated with continuous oxygen or the use of medications. Severe mixed pulmonary dysfunction is a combination of obstructive and restrictive dysfunction, usually due to chronic obstructive emphysema, pleural disease, or thoracic deformities. Very severe mixed pulmonary dysfunction is usually not curable with current medical treatment, but only symptom control is possible. In terms of treatment, low-flow continuous oxygen is usually applied to improve the symptoms, and anti-inflammatory, phlegm-reducing, cough-relieving and asthma-relieving (stopping coughing and calming wheezing) medications are also needed. Commonly used drugs include penicillins, cephalosporins and other antibacterial and anti-inflammatory drugs, such as amoxicillin and cefaclor, as well as aminophylline, compound licorice oral solution and other drugs to resolve phlegm, stop cough and calm wheezing. During the treatment, keep the airway open and improve the function of respiratory muscles, also pay attention to the treatment of cardiac insufficiency. Patients should keep a good mood, and regular review is necessary after treatment.
