The manifestations of hepatocellular carcinoma include pain in liver area, digestive symptoms, systemic symptoms, jaundice, fever, metastatic symptoms, associated cancer syndrome and so on. 1. Hepatomegaly: mostly caused by tautness of hepatic peritoneum due to enlargement of tumor, which may be manifested as persistent dull pain and aggravated when breathing. 2. Digestive symptoms: lack of appetite, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and so on. 3. Systemic symptoms: fatigue, emaciation, generalized exhaustion, and malignant symptoms in advanced patients. 4. Jaundice: it can be caused by tumor compression of the liver gate, bile duct cancer embolism, liver cell damage, etc. It is mostly a symptom of advanced stage. 5. Fever: generally low fever, occasionally up to 39℃ or above, persistent or afternoon low fever, which can be caused by absorption of tumor necrosis products, combined infection and tumor metabolites. 6. Symptoms of metastatic foci: such as lung metastasis can cause hemoptysis, cough, shortness of breath, etc. Bone metastasis can cause bone pain or pain in the bone. Bone metastasis can cause bone pain or pathologic fracture, and brain metastasis can cause headache, vomiting, convulsion and hemiplegia. 7. Accompanying cancer syndrome: spontaneous hypoglycemia, erythrocytosis, hypercalcemia, hyperlipidemia, carcinoid syndrome and so on. If any of the above abnormalities occur or liver cancer is suspected, it is recommended to go to regular hospitals to evaluate the condition and follow the doctor’s instructions to avoid delaying the condition.
