Chenpi has the effect of regulating qi and strengthening the spleen; Poria has the effect of inducing diuresis and reducing swelling; and Pueraria Mirifica has the effect of detoxifying the muscles and relieving heat (relieving heat from the surface of the skin). Three kinds of drugs together in water can play the above similar effect, but the Chinese medicine in water is limited to the active ingredients, difficult to achieve the effect of treatment of disease. 1. Chenpi: for the rue citrus plant orange its cultivated varieties of dried mature fruit peel. It has the effect of regulating qi and strengthening the spleen, drying dampness and resolving phlegm (removing phlegm in the body with dampness-drying drugs), and is used for epigastric (abdominal) distension and fullness, poor food and vomiting, coughing and phlegm, and so on. 2. Poria: Poria cocos is the dried mycelium of the fungus Poria, family Polyporaceae. Poria has the effect of diuresis and seepage of dampness (promoting the operation of water to dispel dampness), strengthening the spleen and tranquilizing the heart, and is used for edema and urination, phlegm-drinking vertigo and palpitation (due to phlegm-drinking evil caused by vertigo and palpitation), deficiency of the spleen with little food, loose stools (feces thin and unshapely) and diarrhea, and restlessness of the heart and mind. Note that the person who is cold and slippery, and the person who is deficient in qi and sinking is not to be used. 3. Pueraria Mirifica: the dried root of Pueraria Mirifica, family Leguminosae. It has the effects of relieving muscle fever, penetrating rash, generating fluids to quench thirst, and elevating Yang to stop diarrhea. The main treatment of surface evidence (lesions in the body surface, shallow) fever, measles not penetrate, fever thirst, spleen deficiency and diarrhea and other diseases. Note that it is not recommended for people with cold body; caution should be exercised for people with cold stomach and vomiting. The above drugs should be used under the guidance of doctor’s diagnosis, and should not be used blindly by oneself to avoid adverse consequences.
