What diseases are related to stress?

With the development of economy and society, the relationship between psychology and health is becoming more and more prominent. When the society enters the new century with high civilization, the rapid development of science and technology brings people unprecedented material enjoyment, but also brings people a lot of psychological and physical problems, such as the intensification of social competition, the complexity of interpersonal relationships, the updating of knowledge, the increase of mental pressure, and the increasing number of stress diseases, i.e. psychosomatic diseases. What is “psychosomatic disease”? I believe many people will immediately associate it with “physical and mental diseases”, but don’t look at the reversal of the position of the words “mind” and “body”, the meaning is completely different. The term “psychosomatic illness” does not refer to what is commonly known as “mental illness”, but rather “somatic illness”. The difference between these somatic diseases and general physical diseases is that they are not caused by purely biological or physical-chemical factors such as bacteria or viruses, but by psychosocial factors as the main cause of physical diseases. For example, cholecystitis and cholelithiasis in the digestive system are typical psychosomatic diseases, and many patients undergo long-term anti-inflammatory and cholestatic treatment with little success. The temperament of these patients is also more impatient, irritable, like to worry about, of course, there are also some are depressed personality. There are also some patients who experience bloating, constipation or diarrhea whenever they encounter tension and stress, and these are psychosomatic diseases. These diseases are often treated with unsatisfactory results with medication alone, while they often have good clinical results with psychotherapy, psychopharmacotherapy and medication. The following are the specific types of psychosomatic diseases: 1, cardiovascular system: primary hypertension, primary hypotension, coronary artery disease, arrhythmia, cardiac neurosis, Raynaud’s disease, beta-receptor hypersensitivity, cardiac syncope, etc. 2, digestive system psychosomatic diseases: including gastric and duodenal ulcers, chronic gastritis, gastric neurosis, ulcerative colitis, intestinal neurosis, habitual constipation, chronic hepatitis, chronic cholecystitis, chronic pancreatitis, esophageal neurosis, etc. 3, respiratory system psychosomatic diseases: bronchial asthma, hyperventilation syndrome, neurological cough, etc. 4.Neurological system psychosomatic diseases: stroke, epilepsy, vascular neurological headache, tension headache, etc. 5.Endocrine system psychosomatic diseases: diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, obesity, uremia, psychogenic polyphagia, etc. 6, genitourinary system psychosomatic diseases: prostatitis, allergic cystitis, urethral syndrome, primary sexual dysfunction, premenstrual tension syndrome, postpartum depression, dysmenorrhea, etc. 7, oncology psychosomatic diseases: stomach cancer, liver cancer, intestinal cancer, esophageal cancer, etc.
