How to treat a sarcoma on your body

The most common type of sarcoma is a superficial swelling in the soft tissue under the skin. The most common superficial swellings are sebaceous cysts, lipomas, fibromas, cysts and other benign swellings, which can be diagnosed basically by local ultrasound. Generally, if they are not very large and do not cause pain, they do not require special treatment. However, if they are relatively large or painful, surgical excision can be considered, which usually involves incising the skin and separating out the entire sarcoma and removing it together with the peritoneum in order to clean it up completely. In addition, after excision, a pathologic examination must be done to rule out benign or malignant conditions. If the tumor is a sebaceous cyst, there may be symptoms such as infection and pus. If the infection is pus-filled, topical antibiotics or oral antibiotics must be used to control the infection before excision is considered. If the tumor is malignant, according to the actual situation, it is recommended that the first choice is also surgical resection, and it should be radical resection. In addition, chemotherapy or local radiotherapy may be necessary after surgery.
