Although circumcision is a relatively minor procedure, it takes about 1 week for the traumatic tissues to grow together after circumcision. It may take 2-3 weeks for the tissues to fully grow back. If you have sex too early, the foreskin may crack after the penis is erect and the penis keeps rubbing and pumping during intercourse. When the foreskin is split, it will cause the wound to bleed again and delay healing. Therefore, after circumcision, it is recommended to have sexual intercourse only after 4 weeks.
