What to eat for cardiovascular disease

Eating light food and food with less fat is good for patients with cardiovascular disease. Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases refer to various diseases caused by pathologic changes in the blood vessels of the cardiovascular system and the nervous system, such as angina pectoris and cerebral infarction. Most of them are caused by the narrowing or blockage of the blood vessel lumen due to calcification of the blood vessel wall and abnormal lipid metabolism. Risk factors for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases include abnormal lipid metabolism, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, smoking, and advanced age. Patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases should pay attention to low-fat diet, low-salt diet and balanced nutrition. Eat less high oil, high sugar, pickled food. If diabetes is present, the intake of foods with high glycemic index should be reduced, such as all kinds of starch-rich foods. If the examination suggests the presence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time and follow the doctor’s instructions for active treatment.
