Parotid hybrid tumor, also known as pleomorphic adenoma, is one of the most common benign tumors in the clinic. Patients usually have no obvious symptoms and it can occur at any age, its growth rate is relatively slow, but it is mostly malignant when it grows, depending on the specific situation, mainly in the following aspects: First, parotid hybrid tumor has a thin peritoneal membrane and is prone to recurrence if the surgery is improper. However, its malignant rate is relatively low, about 5% or so. When the tumor grows faster suddenly, accompanied by symptoms such as nerve paralysis and pain, the risk of malignant change will be beware. Thirdly, if the pathology shows small focal hemorrhagic necrosis, extensive vitreous degeneration, ossification and calcification, or incomplete tumor envelope, it should be highly recommended. In this case, we should be highly alert to the possibility of malignant transformation.
