Babies are born with visual sensory function, can see near objects in 8-9 months, and around 6 years of age, vision is fully developed and can see things clearly.
Usually newborn babies already have visual sense function, its pupil to light reflex exists, can be in a quiet state briefly injection object, but can only see clearly within 15~25cm. 2 months onwards, babies begin to have head-eye coordination, can be coordinated to gaze at the object and so on. Generally babies begin to show depth perception at 8~9 months and can see objects close by.
At 18 months of age, babies are often able to distinguish between shapes, at 2 years of age they can distinguish between vertical and horizontal lines, at 5 years of age they can already distinguish between colors, and at 6 years of age their vision is sufficiently developed for them to see normally.
It is recommended that children with abnormal vision development should be seen promptly for evaluation and treatment.
