What’s wrong with fibula pain after running

Pain in the fibula after running may be caused by physiological factors such as overexertion, or it may be caused by pathological factors such as fatigue fracture of the fibula, fasciitis and osteoporosis.
1. Physiological factors: due to the fatigue of leg muscles after strenuous exercise, the local production of excessive metabolic products, lactic acid accumulation, which can lead to the phenomenon of pain in the calf fibula and the surrounding muscles after running.
2. Fibula fatigue fracture: when running, the foot stirs backward, and the metatarsal flexors and long flexors keep contracting on the fibula, which often occurs at the lower end of the fibula at 4~7cm, and the clinical manifestations are localized pain, swelling, and localized lumps.
3. Fasciitis: due to long-term running or heavy physical labor, it can lead to chronic strain injury to the soft tissues around the fibula, causing fasciitis. Running causes traction on the ligaments, muscles and other soft tissues around the calf, inducing pain symptoms in the calf.
4. Osteoporosis: related to factors such as insufficient intake or excessive loss of calcium and changes in hormone levels, patients with osteoporosis may have symptoms such as pain in the limbs and fatigue, which are not obvious in normal times and may aggravate the clinical symptoms after running.
Patients with fibula pain after running, if it can not be relieved in time after resting, they should go to the hospital in time to see a doctor, after clarifying the cause of the disease for targeted treatment.
