What is Smile Depression?

Smiling doesn’t mean you’re really happy, it could be “smile depression”. What is smile depression? According to the World Health Organization, the annual prevalence of depression is about 11% globally. In terms of disease burden, depression has become the fourth most common disease in the world, and it is expected that by 2020 it may become the second most common disease in humans after coronary heart disease. According to an epidemiological survey, it is estimated that the number of depression and anxiety patients in China has reached 90 million, and is on the rise year by year, seriously jeopardizing the physical and mental health of the public. Smiling depression is a type of depression. Most of the time they smile, but inside they are depressed and in pain. Patients often deliberately hide their emotions and force a smile in order to maintain a good image of themselves in the minds of others. And when the pressure they are under is so great that they can no longer bear it, their reaction is tremendous, their emotions are dysregulated and they may go from being an extremely confident person to someone with very low self-esteem, even doubting their abilities in all aspects. Laughter, for the smiling depressed person, is heavily armed, and even more so, a weapon aimed at themselves. This type of disease, has a very large hidden nature, resulting in the surrounding people can not be the first time to find out, often therefore delayed treatment. If you are not truly happy, remove the protective color of your smile. Crying and depression, is not shame. Not pleasing is the beginning of a healthy relationship.
