What is the difference between CT nodules in the lungs and lung cancer?

There is a difference between lung CT nodules and lung cancer. For lung CT nodules, lung CT nodules that are relatively small in diameter, less than 6 mm, or lung CT nodules that are surrounded by a smooth, enveloping, hairy glass-like lung CT nodules without obvious burrs or tree roots, are likely to be benign. Even if some of the CT nodules are 2-3 cm in diameter at the time of detection, they are still likely to be benign if they are smooth, have no obvious burrs around them, and do not grow in size or have obvious blood vessels growing into them. Only when it grows to 2-3cm with obvious growth is it considered to be lung cancer. Even so, the surgical cure rate of early stage lung cancer can be as high as 80%-90%, so there is no need to worry at all. What really needs to be worried about is advanced lung cancer, these lung cancers do not manifest as CT nodules in the lungs, but directly as CT masses in the lungs or distant metastases.
