Cordyceps generally refers to Cordyceps sinensis, and patients with lupus erythematosus can take Cordyceps. Lupus erythematosus is called “red butterfly sore” in Chinese medicine, which is caused by the accumulation of heat and poison in the body, or the invasion of external evils due to the deficiency of positive energy. In Chinese medicine, the diagnosis is divided into heat and toxin, yin deficiency and internal heat (deficiency of yin fluid leading to internal fever), and qi stagnation and blood stasis (poor operation of qi and blood), and so on. Cordyceps is sweet in taste and flat in nature, belonging to the lung and kidney meridians, it has the effect of tonifying the kidney and benefiting the lungs, stopping bleeding and resolving phlegm, and is used as a main treatment for prolonged cough and asthma, and for coughing and phlegm and blood in labor. When patients with lupus erythematosus suffer from prolonged coughing and wheezing, they can take Cordyceps Sinensis for treatment of lung and kidney deficiencies (deficiency of both lungs and kidneys). Clinical lupus erythematosus patients, should be treated under the guidance of a professional physician, do not self-medication, in order to avoid adverse reactions.
