How to treat adenomatous polyps

Adenomatous polyps are mainly treated surgically, mostly occurring in the stomach and intestine, and can be found during gastroscopy. Specific treatment can be analyzed from the following points: First, if the polyps are small and multiple, pathology can be taken during the examination, and if they are benign and have no uncomfortable symptoms, they can be left untreated for the time being, and attention can be paid to regular re-examination. Second, if the polyp is single or less in number, it can be clamped and sent for pathological examination after endoscopy, pay attention to rest and avoid strenuous exercise to prevent bleeding. If adenomatous polyps are large and cannot be surgically clamped under endoscopy, they can be reviewed regularly first. If the polyp is enlarged at the time of review, it should be promptly surgically removed, noting that the current treatment of polyps is mainly excision, conservative treatment is no way to get rid of. Therefore, when adenomatous polyps occur, the number, size and location of polyps should be evaluated comprehensively and surgical treatment should be performed if necessary, avoiding blindly choosing conservative treatment or oral medication to avoid delaying the disease.
