The inability to walk with bone metastases may be related to causes such as severe pain at the site of the bone metastasis and pathologic fractures. Bone metastasis is due to the transfer of tumor cells from other parts of the body to bone tissue. As the tumor increases in size, the pressure on the bone gradually increases, which will cause severe pain, and the pain stimulation will cause difficulty in walking. A large amount of tumor invasion of normal bone tissue at the site of bone metastasis will cause a decrease in strength, and pathological fracture may occur when subjected to external collision, which will also result in the inability to walk. Bone metastasis tumor cells breaking through the bone cortex may compress the nerves innervating the lower limbs and cause normal nerve function, which may also lead to inability to walk. If bone metastases cause inability to walk, it is recommended that patients go to the hospital for medical examination, improve the examination and receive regular treatment.
