What causes ankle pain after standing for a long time

There are three main reasons for pain in the ankle area after standing for a long time: First, because the ankle joint has been strained, but the activity is too early without complete healing, and there is a lack of external fixation, which leads to the formation of chronic lesions in the local area, resulting in a decrease in elasticity and toughness, and blood circulation will also slow down, and when standing for a long time, there will be excessive stimulation of the inflammatory lesions produced locally. Therefore, there will be an increase in metabolic products and painful symptoms in the ankle area. Second, because of the strain and cold in the ankle area, after standing for a long time, it will lead to the accumulation and increase of inflammatory metabolites of the strain lesion, and under the condition of cold, there will be a further decrease of blood circulation, which will lead to more obvious stimulation of peripheral nerves, so there will also be pain in the ankle area. Thirdly, there are more degeneration, hyperplasia and calcification in the ankle joint, for example, the cartilage in the ankle joint is worn out more seriously, and the calcification and hyperplasia lesions formed during the deposition of local calcium salts will stimulate the surrounding soft tissues and peripheral nerves when standing for a long time, which will also cause pain in the ankle area.
