Amoxicillin belongs to which class of anti-inflammatory drugs

Amoxicillin belongs to the β-lactam class of antibiotics. Other drugs in this class include penicillin, penicillin V potassium tablets, dicloxacillin, etc. Amoxicillin is mainly used to treat infections caused by pneumococcus, hemolytic streptococcus, enterococcus and H. influenzae. As a simple example, for example, amoxicillin can be used for pus in the tonsils and inflammation of the tonsils. But there is a mandatory prerequisite for using amoxicillin, which is no history of penicillin allergy. Allergic reactions are the most common yet serious adverse reactions to amoxicillin, and it is important to note that patients with a history of penicillin allergy must not use amoxicillin.
