Should you take domperidone tablets before or after a meal?

Domperidone tablets, often referred to as morpholine, is a drug that promotes esophageal and gastroduodenal emptying and is mostly used to treat functional gastric disease, reflux esophagitis, and bile reflux gastritis, and this drug needs to be taken before meals. This medication is needed when the patient presents with bloating and indigestion. Its usage is one tablet three times a day, 15-30 minutes before meals, and it can also be taken with other drugs that inhibit stomach acid and promote digestion afterwards. Clinically, domperidone can be taken followed by omeprazole and lansoprazole to inhibit gastric acid, which can treat the symptoms of gastritis and gastric distension caused by gastric erosion. If the patient presents with reflux esophagitis, drugs such as Rebapate to promote healing of the gastric and esophageal mucosa should also be added.
