The 256-row CT is being used more and more widely because of its significantly larger scanning area, shorter scanning time, thinner scanning layers, and lower radiation dose. For example, it can examine multiple organs throughout the body, such as the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and bones, and CT scans of the same part or organ can be more refined, allowing multiple functional examinations to be completed at the same time. At present, it is particularly well used in the heart, for example, in cases of coronary heart disease, various types of vascular aneurysms, vascular stenosis, occlusion, etc. It is also being widely used for screening of tumors, and has become a routine examination in many hospitals.
