Keratosis pilaris, for the most part, is a genetically determined keratinization susceptibility skin disorder. It is usually classified as either a symmetrical hereditary erythema keratosum, or an acquired progressive keratosis of the skin. Regardless of the type of keratosis, the cause is due to either congenital, or genetic factors. There is basically no effective cure for this type of keratosis once it occurs. It can be relieved orally by using Aviva capsules, and to a certain extent, topical medications can also be used as appropriate. Topical medications can be used such as Avitamin A ointment, Adapalene, or urea cream or mucopolysaccharide polysulfate cream.
