Bone marrow cancer generally refers to multiple myeloma, and the main survival period varies greatly, with a median survival period of 3 to 4 years, and some patients can survive for more than 10 years.
1. In the early stage of multiple myeloma, the symptoms are often not very obvious, and if detected in time, life can be prolonged by initial induction and autologous stem cell transplantation therapy, which can lead to more than ten years of survival. Drugs include bortezomib, cyclophosphamide and so on.
2. If it enters the middle or late stage, the cancer cells will proliferate malignantly and secrete a large amount of monoclonal immunoglobulin to cause deterioration of the condition, and the body’s physique is weaker, it may survive for less than half a year.
Factors affecting the prognosis include age, CRP level, serum LDH level, degree of bone marrow plasma cell infiltration, renal function, ISS and R-ISS stages and cytogenetic abnormalities.
