Adult body temperature of 37.2℃ is not considered a low fever. There are 3 locations for taking temperature, namely the mouth, armpit and rectum. The axilla is the most commonly used location for temperature taking from the standpoint of cleanliness, convenience and safety. The patient should be well prepared before taking the temperature, which is usually done in the early morning, at rest. The sweat under the armpit should be wiped with a towel to avoid affecting the thermometer due to sweat. The thermometer should be in contact with the armpit for about 10 minutes to be a relatively accurate degree. The normal axillary body temperature is between 36.0-37.3℃, higher than 37.3℃ is considered as fever, therefore 37.2℃ is the normal body temperature.
