The previous view was that the airway was blocked by water after drowning, so it was considered that the airway should be cleared, opened and artificially ventilated first. But now the new view, whether it is drowning or other cardiac arrest, the first thing must be to restore artificial circulation. Therefore, CPR for drowning is recommended to start with chest compressions, then clear the oral foreign body, open the airway, and perform artificial respiration. Generally 30 chest compressions followed by 2 artificial respiration, and so on alternately, after the operation of five groups to observe whether the patient’s breathing, heartbeat recovery, if not to continue the above operation until the paramedics come to the rescue.
