How to arrange meals for diabetics in a day?

The best meal arrangement for diabetic patients in a day is to eat less and more meals, and to divide the day’s intake into more than 3 times after calculation, so as to avoid the surge of blood sugar caused by too much intake in 1 time. At present, the general diabetic patients are according to breakfast for 1/5, lunch for 2/5, dinner accounted for 2/5; or each according to 1/3 amount of distribution of three meals, which is more appropriate for people with relatively stable diabetes. However, the most common problem encountered in practice is that when patients see high fasting blood sugar or urine sugar, they reduce breakfast and add the rest of the amount to Chinese food and dinner, which often results in hypoglycemia before noon and excessive dinner intake and high fasting blood sugar the next morning. Therefore, food is divided into 4-5 meals, scheduled at 7:00 am; 10:30 am; 1:30 pm; and 6:30 pm. However, patients are not accustomed to such eating times, so for those who are unstable, extra meals are generally used, with 5 or 6 meals per day, and the extra food is absorbed from the three regular meals and consumed at each of the 2 regular meals. This reduces the intake of regular meals, so that the peak blood sugar after three meals does not rise very high at once, which is very meaningful for unstable diabetic patients. The addition of meals in the middle of two meals can effectively prevent the appearance of hypoglycemia, especially for those who have hypoglycemia in the morning and in the middle of the night.
