How to see if your tonsils are inflamed

Inflammation of tonsils can be determined by local symptoms, systemic symptoms, physical examination, laboratory tests and other aspects.
1. From the point of view of local symptoms, tonsillitis often has sore throat, which may radiate to the ear and may be accompanied by difficulty in swallowing; it may be accompanied by enlarged lymph nodes in the neck; and when the enlarged tonsils obviously obstruct the respiratory tract, it may even cause respiratory difficulties.
2. From the point of view of systemic symptoms, acute suppurative tonsillitis may have chills, high fever, headache, fatigue and other systemic symptoms, acute kata tonsillitis is generally milder systemic symptoms.
3. Physical examination, tonsillitis can be seen as red and swollen tonsils, the surface can be covered with yellowish-white pus spots, and the exudate can sometimes be linked together, like pseudomembrane, which can be easily wiped away.
4. In laboratory examination, leukocytosis is common, and the absolute count and proportion of neutrophils increase.
Inflammation of the tonsils needs to be judged by the combination of the above aspects, and should be diagnosed and dealt with by a professional physician.
