A CT scan can usually detect cervical problems, but it is also used in conjunction with other tests such as ultrasound, cervical liquid-based cytology (TCT), human papillomavirus (HPV), and colposcopy.
CT, or computed tomography, is the ability to accurately detect small differences in density between different tissues in a transverse anatomical plane. For CT examination, it is generally able to detect cervical problems, but it should be combined with other examination methods as follows:
1. In the process of CT examination, cervical cysts can be manifested as small round, well-bordered cystic foci within the parenchyma, which can be single or multiple imaging manifestations, which can also be combined with ultrasound and other examination modalities for judgment.
2. CT can also detect part of cervical cancer, but for early cervical cancer, due to the small lesions, it is usually not shown on CT. It can be diagnosed by combining the results of TCT, HPV and colposcopy.
If you encounter any of the above problems, it is recommended to consult with a professional doctor and undergo the relevant examination programs, which will be conducive to timely and accurate diagnosis of the disease, so as not to delay the condition.
