Irregular liver morphology with reticular internal echogenicity has many causes and is usually associated with schistosomal hepatic fibrosis, autoimmune cirrhosis and alcoholic hepatitis. 1. Schistosoma hepatic fibrosis: it is mainly caused by the infection of Schistosoma, when Schistosoma invades into the liver tissue and causes liver damage, it will cause irregular liver morphology and reticulate echoes. 2. Autoimmune cirrhosis: it is caused by the abnormal autoimmune function, when the liver immune system is damaged and affects the liver tissue, it will cause the liver form to be irregular and the echogenic part to be reticular. 3. Alcoholic hepatitis: it is related to long-term alcohol consumption. When alcohol damages liver tissues and affects liver function, it will lead to irregular liver morphology, and the echogenic part will be reticular. Irregular liver morphology, mostly suggests that the liver tissue is damaged, so the current regular review to understand the degree of liver function damage, as well as the causes of liver function damage, and then according to the diagnosis results of targeted treatment.
