It can be analyzed from the following points: 1. the components are different, the main components of iodophor are polyviodone, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, glycerin and phosphoric acid, while the main components of Gil Iodine are iodine, chlorhexidine acetate and ethanol; 2. both can be applied for skin disinfection at injection, puncture and surgery sites, but since Gil Iodine contains alcohol, it has some irritation and cannot be used for disinfection of mucous membranes and hand brushing before surgery, but iodophor can; 3. There is a certain difference in the bacteria to be killed. Gil Iodine is mainly used for purulent cocci, pathogenic yeast and common bacteria of hospital infection. Iodophor has a broad bactericidal effect on bacterial propagules, fungi, protozoa and some viruses, so the application should be combined with the actual situation. 4. Iodophor can be used for the treatment of some diseases, such as scald treatment, trichomonas vaginitis, mycotic skin and mucous membrane infections, etc., but Gil Iodine cannot. Although both are iodine-containing disinfectants, there are some differences in their application scope and precautions.
