Itopride hydrochloride tablets are a gastroduodenal peristaltic drug that promotes gastric emptying and has a moderate antiemetic effect. This drug has a dual mechanism of action: i) dopamine D2 receptor blockade; ii) acetylcholinesterase inhibition. It is mainly used clinically for gastroesophageal reflux disease, bile reflux gastritis and antiemetic. The antiemetic is mainly for vomiting caused by non-gastrointestinal obstruction; when used for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, it needs to be used together with omeprazole and other drugs that inhibit gastric acid. This drug is usually taken before meals, three times a day, one tablet each time. When used for the treatment of bile reflux gastritis, the usage is the same as for GERD, but together with drugs that protect the gastric mucosa, rehabilitative new liquid and aluminum phosphate gel.
