Cat bites bleeding with or without injections

Cat bite out of blood, if you consider the possibility of infecting people with rabies, you need to take a shot to prevent rabies. There are two types of shots: the first is a rabies vaccine, which is injected into the body and will produce rabies virus-neutralizing antibodies after a period of time, thus preventing rabies. The second, rabies immunoglobulin, or anti-rabies serum, are direct antibodies that can make up for the period when the rabies vaccine has not produced antibodies for a week or so after the injection. Cat bites that bleed are the most serious exposure level, called tertiary exposure. If there is no bleeding, only broken skin, it is a secondary exposure and does not require rabies immunoglobulin or serum. In the case of tertiary exposure, the rabies vaccine does not work alone and rabies serum and rabies immunoglobulin are required.
