How to check uric acid

Blood uric acid can be checked by drawing blood for biochemistry, which can reveal whether uric acid is elevated or not. Blood uric acid often indicates elevated uric acid levels caused by excessive purine diet or insufficient metabolism of uric acid in the body. The normal value of uric acid is below 420μg/mL, but if you consume too much purine diet or your body can’t metabolize the excess uric acid, the phenomenon of high uric acid will appear, and when the uric acid increases, it will also cause gout symptoms. Uric acid can often be checked by taking blood on an empty stomach to find out the level of uric acid. When the level of uric acid is high, you can go to the nephrology department, and the level of uric acid will return to normal through oral medication.
