It is used for breast carbuncle, furuncle and poison, scrofula (mainly refers to cervical lymph node tuberculosis), lung carbuncle, redness of the eyes, feverish drenching (burning and stinging pain during urination, accompanied by frequent urination and urgent urination, and discomfort of pulling in the abdomen), damp-heat jaundice, etc. It is also used in the treatment of yin gangrene (a type of slow-acting gangrene). Yin gangrene (a general term for a class of slow-acting negative sores and ulcers) or non-solid-heat syndrome should be taken with caution. Adverse drug reactions and contraindications are unclear.
