What to do if there is a polyp in the bile

For patients with gallbladder polyps, patients should have their upper abdominal ultrasound reviewed periodically to see changes in the diameter of the gallbladder polyps. If the gallbladder polyp is less than 1 cm in diameter, the patient can continue to be observed and not treated. In the case of cholesterol gallbladder polyps, i.e. multiple gallbladder polyps, patients are advised to actively consider taking oral Ursodeoxycholic acid capsules, which are imported, for about 3-6 months to observe whether the gallbladder polyps have become smaller. After two months of taking the medicine, the patient is recommended to review the ultrasound of the upper abdomen to see the change in the diameter of the polyps in the gallbladder. If the diameter of gallbladder polyps exceeds 1 cm, laparoscopic cholecystectomy should be actively considered, and after the surgery, the gallbladder and polyps should be routinely sent to pathology department for pathological section examination to see the nature of gallbladder polyps, whether they are adenomatous polyps, cholesterol polyps, and whether they are inflammatory polyps. In addition, to see if there is any other possibility of lesions in the gallbladder, patients should pay attention to eat less cholesterol-rich foods.
