Long-term consumption of Nicorandil may produce headache, dizziness, palpitations, flushing, stomatitis, nausea, vomiting, liver function abnormalities and other hazards, it is recommended to follow the doctor’s instructions to use the drug.
Nicorandil is mainly used for the treatment of angina pectoris and can play a role in dilating coronary blood vessels and promoting coronary blood flow. Therefore, adverse reactions such as headache, dizziness, palpitations and facial flushing may occur during long-term use.
Nicorandil may also irritate the gastrointestinal tract with side effects such as loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and peptic ulcers.
Prolonged use of Nicorandil can also cause abnormalities in liver function, resulting in elevated bilirubin and transaminases.
It is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to drug components, cardiogenic shock, acute pulmonary edema, severe hypotension, use of phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors.
