The treatment of rhinitis needs to be individualized according to the duration of the disease and clinical symptoms, and there is no guarantee that it can be eradicated. Depending on the duration of the disease, it is divided into acute and chronic rhinitis, and chronic rhinitis is divided into allergic rhinitis and non-allergic rhinitis. The treatment measures need to be developed according to the different diseases.
1. Acute rhinitis: ① general treatment: such as attention to rest, light diet; ② drug treatment: commonly used antiviral drugs (such as amantadine), intranasal topical drugs (such as ephedrine), antipyretic and analgesic drugs (such as aspirin). It can be cured, but it can be reoccurring when virus infection occurs, and it can’t get rid of the root of the disease.
2. Chronic rhinitis: divided into allergic and non-allergic rhinitis.
(1) allergic rhinitis: generally can not be eradicated, the treatment mainly includes ① general treatment: need to avoid contact with allergens; ② drug therapy: commonly used antihistamines (such as loratadine), etc.; ③ immunotherapy: desensitization treatment can be carried out; ④ surgical treatment: such as pterygoid neurectomy, etc., is only used for the poor results of conservative treatment.
(2) non-allergic rhinitis: the condition is often recurring, can not get rid of the root, the treatment mainly includes ① drug therapy: commonly used glucocorticosteroids (such as fluticasone), vasoconstrictors (such as butylbenzoline); ② surgical treatment: need to be based on the type of rhinitis and the clinical manifestations of the choice.
