Butamidocanamycin and kanamycin are not the same. The two are drug preparations with different ingredients. Common adverse reactions include hearing loss, tinnitus, dizziness, etc. Occasionally, convulsions and arthralgia are seen. 2. Kanamycin Sulfate Injection: It is mainly used for the treatment of serious infections caused by sensitive Enterobacteriaceae bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp. and Aspergillus spp. e.g. pneumonia, abdominal infections. Common adverse reactions are nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, hearing loss, etc. Occasionally, hematuria and dyspnea are seen. It is important to note that when serious adverse reactions occur when using both injections, immediate medical attention should be sought for palliative care.
