Where is the liver and gallbladder located in the body

The liver is located in the body mainly in the right upper abdomen, the right quarter rib area, above which is mainly the diaphragm and below which is the gallbladder attached to the dirty side of the liver. For a normal human liver, the location is mostly one finger below the rib cage. If the patient presents with an enlarged liver, which can be palpated under the rib cage, further consideration needs to be given to the presence of cirrhosis, hepatitis, and liver stasis. In the case of patients with hepatitis and cirrhosis, long-term poor control of viral replication further leads to cirrhotic atrophy. In this case, the liver is mostly inaccessible, and some patients will have wavy changes in the liver envelope and shrinkage of the liver when checking the ultrasound, and some patients may have vascular disorders and hypoechogenicity.
