What’s this hard lump in my earlobe?

A hard bump on the earlobe may be caused by sebaceous adenoma, sebaceous cyst, scarring and so on.
1. Sebaceous adenoma: the etiology of sebaceous adenoma is not clear, considering that it is caused by heredity, ultraviolet rays or sunlight exposure. Patients will appear in the lesion area of yellow or pink painless nodules, papules. If the patient has sebaceous adenoma in the lower lobe of the ear, it will be manifested as a localized hard bag.
2. Sebaceous cysts: Sebaceous cysts are considered to be cysts formed when the sebaceous glands of the hair follicles are blocked and the cortex accumulates. If sebaceous cysts appear in the patient’s sagging ears, there will be round and medium hardness cysts locally, so there will be local symptoms of hard bags.
3. Scarring: Scarring may be caused by trauma, skin diseases and so on. The patient’s skin surface will appear irregular swelling, itching, pain and other discomforts. If the patient’s earlobe area has keloid hyperplasia, there will be symptoms of localized hard bags.
It is recommended that patients who have a hard bag in the earlobe need to consult a doctor in time, and the doctor will take the appropriate method of treatment according to the cause of the disease.
