The symptoms of unilateral nasal discharge with yellow water need to be considered as respiratory tract pathology. In most cases, there is congestion, edema and exudation of inflammatory secretions from the unilateral nasal mucosa, which is common in unilateral acute rhinitis and acute attacks of chronic rhinitis. In these cases, anti-inflammatory treatment can be given, such as nebulized inhalation, for example, using budesonide nebulizer to reduce nasal mucosal edema and reduce the inflammatory response. In case of bacterial infection antibiotics such as erythromycin and clindamycin can be chosen. In addition, other chronic lesions of the nasal cavity, such as deviated septum, nasal polyps or even trauma-induced damage to the nasal mucosa resulting in an inflammatory response, can be treated with erythromycin to apply to the lesions in the nasal mucosa and, if necessary, surgery to remove the polyps and correct the deviated septum can be given. Malignant lesions such as nasopharyngeal carcinoma can also be seen, and biopsies can be taken for pathological examination, and surgery can be given after a clear diagnosis, supplemented by chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
