Is an abdominal nodule a tumor?

Whether the nodules in the abdominal cavity are tumors or not depends on the different kinds of primary diseases of patients for objective analysis. If the patient has acute severe pancreatitis, acute gangrenous cholecystitis or gastrointestinal perforation and other infectious lesions in the abdominal cavity, this may cause reactive hyperplasia of abdominal lymph nodes. The nodules in the abdominal cavity in this case are caused by inflammatory irritation and are not tumorigenic lesions. After the infection in the abdominal cavity is controlled, the enlarged lymph nodes can slowly subside and the prognosis is better. Second, if the patient is accompanied by malignant tumor of stomach, malignant tumor of liver, malignant tumor of ileocecal region, then the tumor cells can invade directly to the surrounding organs and tissues along with blood vessels and lymphatic vessels, and cause multiple nodules in the abdominal cavity, and the nodules in the abdominal cavity in this case belong to malignant tumor.
