What is the difference between hyaluronic acid and lipofilling?

Fat and hyaluronic acid are both facial fillers, so I am often asked about the difference between the two. First of all, I think the biggest difference between fat and hyaluronic acid lies in the fact that autologous fat is your own, and it has a guarantee of safety. Secondly, both fat and hyaluronic acid will be absorbed by the body after injection. The difference is that hyaluronic acid will be slowly absorbed over time, and at the same time, there will be no effect. But fat is different, part of the fat that does not survive will be absorbed by the body cells, but the fat that survives will become our own. Why does lipofilling get absorbed? It is because when we transplant fat, the fat that is extracted is fat particles, and the particles contain cytoplasmic components, stem cell components, intercellular matrix, etc. These are, in terms of the current mechanism, the most important components of fat. In terms of the current mechanism, the ones that survive are the stem cells inside the fat, and after they survive, they grow into new parts and become their own fat. Because some of the useless components of the intercellular matrix are slowly absorbed. Then the part that is not absorbed will be your own fat after it survives. Since the survival rate of each person is different, the number of injections is also different. How long does the injected fat last? It varies from person to person and may need to be injected again and again, but it is usually the same as three to five times. It’s not like hyaluronic acid, which only lasts for a year or so. If you want to keep it, you will need to refill it with hyaluronic acid year after year.
