What’s wrong with children’s foamy urine

Foamy urine in children may be a normal physiological phenomenon, or it may be caused by pathologic factors, such as urinary tract infections, diabetes mellitus, and kidney disease.
1. Normal physiological phenomenon: children hold urine for a long time, resulting in concentrated urine or consume a large number of foods containing high protein, will lead to foam in the urine, but there is no other abnormalities, only occasionally, do not need to worry too much.
2. Urinary tract infections: children do not pay attention to the lower body hygiene, may be induced by urinary tract infections, such as cystitis, can also cause foamy urine, usually accompanied by a number of obvious urinary abnormalities, such as urinary pain, frequent urination, urinary urgency and so on.
3. Diabetes: children with diabetes, may affect the body’s blood sugar levels, can lead to foamy urine, and foam larger, accompanied by weakness, drinking and other symptoms.
4. Kidney disease: for example, glomerulonephritis, due to the function of the kidneys are affected, part of the protein into the urine, which can cause foamy urine, the child’s lower limbs and eyelids will also appear obvious edema.
