Causes of adult enuresis: First, trauma or surgery, such as surgery or trauma to the urethra or prostate, can cause incomplete closure of the urethra, which can lead to adult enuresis. Second, neurogenic factors, including central innervation disorders and peripheral innervation disorders, such as cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral infarction, spinal cord injury, etc., can cause enuresis in the later stages, which is due to neurological damage, resulting in loss of bladder control and enuresis, as well as persistent sphincter opening, resulting in changes of persistent enuresis. Thirdly, acute infection of the urinary system can cause enuresis, which is often caused by increased bladder sensitivity due to infection, and can produce urinary urgency, accompanied by inability to control urination and enuresis, which can disappear after the infection is cured. Fourth, female stress urinary incontinence can cause there to be enuresis, often due to pelvic floor organ prolapse leading to urethral downward movement, urethral closure pressure decreases, which can then appear enuresis.
