What should patients with osteoarthrosis pay attention to in their regular exercise

It is often said that “life is exercise”, but this is for the internal functions of the human body. For elderly people with osteoarthritis, it is important to protect the joints in a moderate way.   First of all, elderly people should carry out reasonable and moderate functional activities under the guidance of their doctors, not the more activities the better, and the “evil treatment” method adopted by some patients is undesirable. Generally speaking, walking, walking flat, as long as you do not feel tired, tired, pain is okay, but do not advocate climbing, climbing, squatting and standing up and other exercises, should minimize the number of stairs, especially in the onset of osteoarthrosis. You can do quadriceps contraction exercises to enhance the stability of the joint. Exercise methods for patients with osteoarthrosis: in the knee joint straight state, do rhythmic active contraction of the thigh muscles commonly known as “tense”. You can also do the lower limb straight position elevation 30 degrees and maintain 1 minute of activity, as a time, rest a moment to do the second time, 10 times for a group, do 2 to 3 groups per day. If the strength of the lower limbs has been enhanced, a 500g or 1kg sandbag can be tied to each lower leg for exercise. At the same time, the elderly should pay attention to the warmth of the joints, because cold will induce or aggravate joint pain afterwards. In addition, the joints should be well protected in daily life to avoid injuries such as joint sprains and bruises. If the joints are swollen and have fluid, flexion and extension activities, such as walking and cycling, should be reduced as much as possible.
