Babies begin to speak as early as 3 months.
The development of a baby’s language begins to mature gradually from the fetus to the passive crying of the vocal cords at birth, and the language center of the brain is constantly being perfected.
When the brain develops to 3~4 months after birth, the baby can already babble and pronounce words.
By 6 to 7 months of age, the brain’s nervous system, combined with the complex integration of hearing and perception, can understand their own names and speak simple words, such as “ah”, “mom” and so on.
When they are older, around 1 year old, they can say simple single words, such as “bye-bye” and “no more”, as well as describe a simple thing, such as “shoes, buy”.
If your baby’s speech is not consistent with normal age, you should go to the hospital in time to identify the cause of the problem and get prompt treatment.
