In recent years, with the advancement of imaging and surgical techniques, laparoscopic renal tumor-sparing surgery (NSS) or tumor enucleation has become more and more acceptable to patients and physicians, and more satisfactory results have been achieved after surgery. This procedure is suitable for: anatomic isolated kidney, functional isolated kidney, contralateral renal potential insufficiency and benign renal tumor. The enucleation should be performed outside the pseudo-envelope of the renal tumor and include part of the normal renal tissue, or partial nephrectomy if there is no clear pseudo-envelope.
